CLIVEAID 2006 Benefit Concert To Be Held In May

March 16, 2006

The organizers of Cliveaid, which was set up in 2004 as a fund-raising event for original IRON MAIDEN drummer Clive Burr (who suffers from multiple sclerosis),have issued the following update on this year's event:

"It is with great pleasure that we can announce this year's 'Cliveaid' show. As you may or may not know, 'Cliveaid' was initially set up to raise funds for Clive Burr, he of IRON MAIDEN fame. After a very successful and sold-out show last March and the handing over of Clive's drumkit to the Hard Rock Cafe, it has been decided by Clive and us at 'Cliveaid' that we are going to raise funds for The MS Society and Testicle Cancer.

"Clive has agreed to be our Lead Patron. We are going to be raising funds and awareness for both of the issues and we will also be using educational material to get our message across.

"Cliveaid 2006 will take place on May 26th at The Parklands Club in Doncaster, Tickets will be £10. For bookings details please see our website www.cliveaid.com. Clive will be in attendance on the evening as will various other luminaries." Artists scheduled to perform at Cliveaid 2006 so far include DEMON and SONIC BREW (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and OZZY OSBOURNE tribute).
